Micro-suction and curette is a safer procedure than ear syringing. Ear syringing (also referred to as ear irrigation) floods the ear canals with a water/saline solution. The pressure of syringing combined with wax and debris dislodged in the ear canal can increase the risk of ear infections, perforated eardrums, vertigo and temporary hearing loss.
Micro-suction is performed under binocular microscope to insure accurate depth perception and visibility and is the method preferred by Ear, Nose and Throat specialists. Our micro-suction equipment provides a low pressure suction to gently and efficiently draw wax from the ear canals without the use of water.
